This is a vintage or perhaps antique solid wooden pounder recently found in a Litchfield County, Connecticut farmhouse. Unsure if handmade and also unsure as to type of wood. Measures 10″ tall and diameter of both round bottoms is approximately 2 3/4″. Darkened patina and several age-related cracks as shown in photos. Seems quite old. Unsure of purpose and if used in farmhouse or in the attached barn. I love the tapered middle where you can hold it comfortably in your hand while using. Heavyweight and solid. A wonderful rustic/primitive decor item. Sale final; no return. Thanks for looking. Now for the fine print…… I use the good old USPS for all shipping.
